Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland was founded in 2010 as a primary service, training and placing assistance dogs to children on the autism spectrum who are a flight risk. We are a National Childrens' charity (CHY 19293) with our headquarters in Little Island, Co Cork
Our charity provides a valuable service that has life changing effects for both the children on the spectrum and their families.
We provide our dogs free of charge but each dog costs us in the region of €25,000 to train and with no government funding we rely exclusively on fundraising and donations.

Each dog costs €25,000 to train and the training takes up to two years before being fully qualified to the needs of their matched family. We receive no core government funding and we rely entirely on voluntary contributions and donations.
