Bekind has been in existence since late 2007.

Following several visits to India from 2005, Brian Flanagan (Founder Director) decided to set up the charity. Since then the charity has gone from strength to strength.

Bekind supports a number of different projects in India, with a particular focus on street children. We support them by providing funding for food, shelter, clothing and an education.

Our main project is the Bekind Boys' Home, a home for 25 boys whose home was once the streets of Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), set up by Bekind in association with the Hope Foundation.

Bekind is a family run charity, run by volunteers  and as such has minimal administration costs and no salary costs.
