Clare Haven Services provides support, information and emergency accommodation to women and children experiencing domestic abuse.

Clare Haven Services is the only dedicated domestic abuse service based in Co. Clare. In 2021, we received 1005 helpline calls, 569 women accessed our non-refuge outreach support while 94 women and 188 children were accommodated in our refuge, we also provided 200 court accompaniments.
Over recent years our funding has been consistently cut while the demand for our services has soared. For this reason we have come to rely more on proactive fundraising and the generosity of the public in an effort to ensure the continuity of our much needed local services.
The services currently offered by Clare Haven include the following:
- Refuge Accommodation
- 24 hour Confidential Helpline (065-6822435)
- Drop-In Centre (Based in Ennis)
- Outreach Clinics (located in Ennis, Shannon, Kilrush, Scariff and Killaloe)
- Educational Programmes for Women Survivors of Domestic Abuse
- Court Accompaniment
- Educational Programmes on Awareness and Prevention
- Interagency Work and Referrals
- Play Therapy for children who have been traumatised by domestic violence/abuse
where your money goes
- The women and children who avail of our services are sometimes forced to leave their homes in a hurry leaving all their belongings behind in order to ensure their own physical safety. Returning to their homes at a later stage may be too dangerous. Your donation helps us provide emergency supplies such as essential clothing, toiletries and food to women who come to our Refuge in such desperate need.
- As our statutory funding does not cover the upkeep and maintenance of our residential facility your kind donation may also contribute towards DIY/Painting projects which are undertaken regularly by volunteers in order to ensure that our facility is at all times welcoming, clean and homely.
- Your donation can also assist us to provide essential outreach visits and phone support to women in need who are not staying in refuge accommodation. In 2019, Clare Haven provided 1205 support visits across Co. Clare.
