I will be kayaking the length of the Shannon at the end of May to raise funds for the Thai Animal Sanctuary and MADRA. It's the longest river in Ireland , around 365km and will take 11 days to complete. I have a massive fundraising target to achieve and the kayak trip is the first event,, others will follow and this page will be used for all of them.

The dog meat trade is still happening in Thailand , Family dogs and street dogs are taken , brought to Northern Thailand in horrific conditions and accross the Mekong into Laos. The video below is not easy viewing but might give an idea of what's going on

Gemma Ashford and the Thai Animal sanctuary are doing everything they can to put an end to this evil and also take in any dogs that have been rescued or abused. As the only sanctuary in Northern Thailand it is essential that it continues to operate.

The Thai Animal Sanctuary urgently need funds, they have cries for help on a daily basis that they are unable to ignore but sometimes don't have enough money to even feed the current residents.

To add to fears they MUST relocate the sanctuary this year, the cost of which is in the region of £30,000!! If unable to relocate 60+ residents will be homeless!!
