A Dogs Life
A Dog's Life Charity #18640 started rescuing dogs in 2006. This non-profit organisation is staffed entirely by volunteers and is totally dependent on donations from the public. In Ireland stray dogs are given 5 days to be reclaimed by their owners and surrenders can be euthanised immediately. Our aim is to give these pound dogs the chance of a better life. A Dog's Life takes photo's of the dogs in the pound twice a week to try to reunite them with their owners. Failing that we rescue them from the pound when their time is up. Such is the large volume of dogs coming through the pound system we work with other reputable rescues to find rescue spaces for some dogs. We provide vet care for all dogs that come into our care and all dogs that are homed by us are neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. All homes are also checked prior to adoption and training advice and full back-up is provided for new adopters. We have no premises so work through a network of wonderful foster homes and boarding kennels.
