Archie and his twin bothers George & Isaac have a catastrophic muscle wasting disease called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD); there is no treatment; there is no cure. Archie is sports mad and with the help of his friends and community he is about to embark on his first full mararthon. Archie will be using a special running buggy that was gifted to him by #TeamKerr! This running buggy has literally changed Archie's life! Thanks to his coach Sinead Gannon from The Roscommon Harriers and the rest of Team Archie, he is now able to participate in races and regualr training sessions.
Archie and his Team are completing The Dublin City Marathon this year to rasie awareness of this terrible disease and also to rasie funds that will help fund scientific research that will benefit everyone with DMD. Some of funds will also be used to complete a house that Archie and his brothers will use to make their life a litle easier. Archie's dearest wish is to be cured of this disease so that he can one day run a marathon independently. Any sponsorship you can provide will go directly to meting the aims of The Join Our Boys Trust. No one is paid or receives expenses so as to ensure that all money rasied Goes whre it is intended to go. You can read more at joinourboys.org
