Last year, a very good friend to a lot of us, John O'Donoghue, was diagnosed with MND. Together with help from Aoife O'Donoghue Katie and Sinead, we have embarked to raise much needed funds for care and support into this, as of yet, incurable disease. One event we are doing is to have reindeer run on the 23rd December. We will be running on the Flaggy Shore, but you can run wherever you are, and whatever distance you want. Jess Sweeney wil be running a full marathon! I (john Sweeney) who dislikes running, will aim for a 1/2 marathon. (believe me, he cannot run to save his life!). But these are the sacrifices we need to make to make a difference. The runs will take place between 10am and 3pm. You can chooses to start whatever time you want either on the Flaggy Shore, or anywhere in the world. We already have a commitment from Colombia, London and New York. About the Cause
Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association
The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) is the only organisation of its kind in the country providing specialised services to families affected by this terminal condition.
The Association cannot slow the progression of MND or change the outcome but we can alleviate the feelings of isolation and frustration. We offer consistent support to approximately 450 families across Ireland who otherwise would have nowhere else to turn. Everybody with MND has different needs at different stag
