More Info....

Starting at 10am December 30th from Owneduff Bridge, located near Leenane in Connemara.
The walk is in aid of Pieta House West, a new facility for the West of Ireland.

Tuam Auctioneer, John Joyce, is a man who has always liked a challenge, and is a man with a very adventurous spirit. In 2003 & 2004, John was part of the Irish Everest Exhibition Team, comprising of team leader, Pat Falvey and Claire O Leary, who was in fact the first lady to reach the summit of Everest.

John has climbed mountains, in Africa, Eastern Europe, North and South America, and in the Far East, in addition to climbing many of our mountains here in Ireland, he has also walked the routes of many of our old Railway Lines and canals, now sadly not in use any more.

This is a flat, scenic walk, partly on road, partly on gravel path and partly on grass path.
Recommended Walking Gear : Strong walking boots, thick shorts, walking slacks, wet gear (pull-ups & jacket), cap, gloves, rucksack, drink / flask, food, sunglasses, lons sleeve top, fleece, walking pole, gators.
Also, on finish : large black plastic bag, towel, change of clothes.

Bring your camera. This is one of the most scenic locations in Ireland.
