NCBI is the national organisation working for people with sight loss. We are a not-for-profit charitable organisation, providing support and services nationwide to people experiencing sight loss.
Mission
Our mission is to enable people who are blind and vision impaired to overcome the barriers that impede their independence and participation in society.
Description
NCBI currently provides support and services to over 16,000 people nationwide. Only about 5% of those using our services are totally blind, 95% have some level of vision.

Irish Deaf Kids
IDK supports inclusive education for deaf children at mainstream schools in Ireland while empowering parents to develop their child’s full potential.
The Irish Deaf Kids website came into being in July 2007 with funding from the Social Entrepreneurs Ireland network. In 2010, IDK received Ireland’s eGovernment award (Education) for promoting cross-sector collaboration. The venture is presently self-financed through diversified income streams.
