SPIRASI aims to protect, rehabilitate and integrate survivors of torture and other vulnerable people. Our team of medical doctors, psychologists, therapists and psycho-social workers aid survivors of torture in their rehabilitation
SPIRASI works to integrate migrants into Irish society by providing English and IT classes and other activities.
The Spiritan Asylum
Services Initiative (Spirasi) was founded by the Spiritan congregation in
1999. Spirasi is the only specialist
service for the rehabilitation of victims of torture on the island of Ireland
and is a member of the International Rehabilitation Council for Torture
Victims.
Since its inception in 1999,Spirasi has assisted over 5,000 victims of torture . Our ethos is about the provision
of services to assist the most vulnerable asylum seekers and refugees without
discrimination.
