Irish Deaf Society

The Irish Deaf Society is the largest Deaf-led organisation in Ireland working with both the Deaf and hard of hearing community. We work to provide information, access and promote the Equality and Rights of Deaf people in Ireland.

We have many different services available to the Deaf and hard of hearing people including Deaf Adult Literacy Service (DALS) and Deaf Advocacy Services (Deaforward). DALS organise a range of different classes for Deaf people for example English, Maths, Arts and Crafts, Personal Development, Deaf History, Social Media, Driving Theory Test and FETAC accredited Computer Courses all provided free of charge to the Deaf community. Deaf Advocacy Services is a Deaf-led confidential service providing support and information for Deaf people through their first language Irish Sign Language (ISL)
