Thank  you for supporting  the Friends of St Luke’s Carlow – Kilkenny stroke fund which is based in St Luke’s Hospital Kilkenny. Every year over 200 people are admitted to the acute stroke unit with a new or further stroke event. A  Stroke is a sudden,  often life altering event and affects people of all ages. 

The stroke fund purchases vital equipment which is used by  the multi-disciplinary stroke team in the patient’s rehabilitation journey. This ensures the  patient will reach their physical and psychological potential post stroke and maximises their chances of recovery post stroke.
