Fenor Playpark is a community playpark in the rural village of Fenor, County Waterford.  Located on the Copper Coast a short drive from Tramore town.

Work in the design and planning of Fenor Playpark got underway in 2008, with completion of phase two in 2011.  The local schoolchildren were involved in the design from its earliest stages supported by a strong development and fundraising committee made up of local families and businesses.

In putting together the design every effort was made to enhance and compliment Fenor Bog and the ethos of the Coppercoast Geopark. The park equipment is made from a sustainable hardwood with a life of several decades.  Additional features such as the old collapsed pit entrance, the massive pieces of Granite, undulating hills, dry stone walls, and local flora are all in keeping with the surrounding environment.  Every aspect of safety has been taken into consideration whilst allowing the children maximum creativity and fun.

The fundraising events for the park have traditionally followed a theme of good value family fun and entertainment.  Support in cash and kind from the local corporate sector, Waterford County Council and Waterford Leader Partnership has been outstanding. Thanks must go to so many in the community of Fenor, especially the outstanding achievement of the committee itself but this will be measured by the enjoyment of our children, and our children’s children long after our efforts have become a memory.

“There is no limit to what can be achieved by a community working together”

Fenor Play Park is open from 9am – 9pm (Summer) and 9am – 4pm (Winter) and welcomes children from far and wide.

Funds are needed to maintain the Park.  We are very grateful for your support.
