On Saturday 21st of September 2019 Amber was admitted to Kerry General with a lump in her tummy, On the 26th of September it was confìrmed Amber had a cancerous tumour.
Amber has been diagnosed with Metastatic Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS), this type of RMS  is rare, and aggressive, accounting for as little as 4% of all childhood cancers. Her chemotherapy regime is intensive and expected to continue for at least 20 months. Amber had surgery to remove the tumour on the 6th of December 2019, the next stage now is radiation in the form of photon radiation.
