Easi-Cab Travel Club

The Easi-Cab Travel Club is an accessible transport Dial-a-Ride service that provides transport for people with disabilities, and for Ageing & Older people with mobility impairments, who are unable to access public transport. The Travel Club is open to people of all ages.

Our aim is to allow you to enjoy a better quality of life by enabling you to participate in sport, education, training, recreational and many other activities

Easi-Cab believes that transport is a right for all and is striving to provide a service for those people who can not avail of other facilities.

Easi Cab now has 506 members who use the service either for regular journeys or for occasional trips.  Members telephone the club to make their booking, and are asked to give as much notice of their journey as possible to ensure that they can be accommodated.

Easi-Cab Travel Club was set up as a pilot project in January 1999, using one small vehicle, with a part-time coordinator and 2 drivers.
Since then it has expanded its operation and was approved by FS for funding for a 4-year period through their programme. This resulted in the setting up of Easi Access Transport Ltd in May 2002, (trading as Easi Cab Travel Club).

The company is now part funded by The Department of Social Protection as a Community Services Programme (CSP) since the 1 January 2006

At this time Easi-Cab employs 1 manager, 7 drivers and 2 administrators. We currently have 6 fully adapted vehicles. The service runs 7 days a week and we have 506 club members.

In Order to provide the best service to members we must insure the buses are serviced and repaired regularly make sure that are vehicles are replaced as they become too old. We are aiming to replace 2 vehicles over the next 2 year, both vehicles are 12 year old.

The average cost of servicing & repair on a bus is 1,750.

The cost of replacing a vehicle is 37,000

Any money donated will go toward the cost of servicing & repairing the vehicles and adding to the fund so we can replace a bus.
