Midlands LGBT+ Project is an adults LGBT+ Service providing a range of supports to the LGBT+ community, parents and caregivers of people within the LGBT+ community, businesses, organisations and those working with this community such as schools, youth groups, universities and more.
 
Established in 2021 it has seen huge growth from its first fortnightly support group in Laois. The project now has over 100 service users monthly and almost 15 social and support groups which include Trans Midlands Peer Support Group, Laois Social Group, Offaly Social Group, Two Queer Bookclubs, An LGBT+ Film Club, a Sports Group in both Laois and Offaly, an Over 50's Coffee Morning, a Parents of LGBT+ Support Group and more.
 
The project runs training for professionals working with the LGBT+ Community and delivers workshops in schools to students and teachers.
The project currently works across Kildare, Laois and Offaly and is hoping to expand its services to Westmeath this year.
The project runs LGBT+ events across these counties throughout the year and this year Midlands LGBT+ Project are working with volunteers to establish the first ever Laois Pride Parade and Festival.
