Irish Girl Guides

IGGenables girls and young women to develop to their fullest potential as responsible citizens of the world.

overview

Irish Girl Guides is a safe girl-only, youth-driven, active and dynamic youth work organisation. It offers a varied and exciting programme for girls and young women aged 5+, and opportunities for Leaders of all ages.

The programme is progressive and adaptable to suit the ability and interests of each girl. In addition to personal development, girls work in small groups to gain teamwork and leadership skills.

IGG is part of a worldwide movement of over 10 million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts 145 countries. Members have opportunities to travel abroad to attend camps and seminars and develop greater cultural and global awareness.

In recent years, we have been fundraising for our new National Training Centre in Tallaght - our first national training venue. It is a purpose-designed youth friendly space where we can grow and develop.

It funds the programmes and resources for our girls, training opportunities for our 1,500 volunteer leaders, national events for members and participation at international events.
