My granny passed away in 1990 but 5 years previous to that we started to lose the granny we knew and loved when she was diagnosed with Alzheimers. We were fortunate to have lived with her but there were alot of days when we did not know who she was and unfortunately for her, neither did she. She was physically fit and healthy which enabled her to disappear from the house unknown, leading to a frantic search for her. She would cower under the kitchen table when eating dinner thinking the guys in the TV were shooting her. She would barricade herself in her bedroom so the bad guys couldn't get her. This was not Granny, this was the Alzheimers. Thousands of families are living with this disease as we speak and many more will continue to do so until they find a cure so please donate what you can . Thank you Bx
