From Thursday, June 23rd to Saturday 25th, a group of 35+ friends are taking to the roads and mountains of Munster and Connacht!
We are raising funds for Ronald McDonald House and Irish Cancer Society's "Daffodil Nurses".
The Ronald McDonald House provides accommodation and support to families whose children are seriously ill in CHI, Crumlin. The "Daffodil Nurses" provide end of life care for cancer patients and their families in their own home. Both of these charities have been huge supports to so many families across the country, including some of our own participants in the most difficult times.
The theme "Dawn to Dusk", is reflected in the first stage of our event with a dawn climb of The Paps which symbolises birth and new beginnings. We end our three days with a dusk climb of Knocknarea reflecting the end of life aspect of our charity plans. All funds raised here will go directly to these great causes.
Our three day event schedule is as follows:
Thursday: "Dawn" climb of The Paps (694m)/Cycle to Limerick (115km) Friday: Cycle Limerick-Tuam (115km), Saturday: Cycle Tuam-Strandhill (107km)/ "Dusk" Hike Knocknarea (327m)
