As many people are aware, a dear friend and loved one tragically passed away last year.

Shane Stokes was the embodiment of fun, joy and happiness. Shane was an amazing friend, brother, son and partner to those who were lucky enough to know him. His larger than life personality has left a hole in the lives of many.

Shane lived and worked in England as part of a Motorsport team, something he had always dreamed of doing. He was tragically taken from the world in an accident last Christmas and at such a difficult time, the help of many got Shane home to Ireland.

Without the help of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, this tragic event would have been made so much more difficult. KBRT help bring home the bodies of Irish emigrants that suffer such events. The comfort this can bring to a grieving family is immeasurable. Without the specialist help provided by KBRT the process of repatriation would have been far more difficult, both emotionally and fincancially. Shanes family and his innumerable friends have put together a night of remembrance and celebration of the great mans life. This will be held on December 22nd at The Hurlers Lounge in Castletroy, Limerick. The event poster can be found in the photo gallery on this page. We will be collecting 20euro on the door on the night and there will be various raffles to aid in the fundraising effort. Donations will of course be accepted on the night also.
