Blossom Ireland

Blossom Ireland supports young people with intellectual disabilities to be independent and active participants in their communities. We offer a practical education and skills programme - the Blossom Personal Empowerment Programme - which teaches young people with intellectual disabilities (ID) to be as independent as possible in the community, socially, and in the workplace.

Working across Ireland with young people aged 14-25 and their families, our Personal Empowerment Programme is facilitated on My Blossom Channel, our bespoke online learning platform. My Blossom Channel is Ireland's first fully-accessible digital learning platform for young people with ID, supporting those of all abilities, including individuals with limited verbal communication and non-readers.

Since 2010, we have supported over 500 families across the country, providing education, wraparound supports, advocacy, resources and information. We additionally offer support and training for employers and external organisations seeking to develop more inclusive, equitable workplaces.
