Cork Samaritans
Every six seconds, Samaritans answer a call for help. People turn to us every hour of every day. Every time we answer a call, we’ll hear someone’s story. It could be someone who’s struggling, someone who’s lonely, or someone who doesn’t know how to carry on.

The Cork Branch of the Samaritans was founded in 1972 and is the second largest branch in Ireland with 180 volunteers who help keep our branch all day, every day. We are a 100% voluntary charitable organization, so we have no paid staff.

Your support helps our volunteers in Cork be there for someone in despair. You help us answer their phone call or respond to their email, so they know they’re not alone. You can help us listen, without judgement or pressure, for as long as it’s needed.
