Gartan Open Swimmers are taking on the North Channel! Some of the group will swim the 35km North Channel as a relay in late June.
This swim often gets the title as the Everest of channel swims due to its unusual swimming conditions - cooler water temperatures, abundance of jellyfish and changeable weather.
This is the ultimate long distance challenge for all of us in the group - 6 people will swim the relay in rotation from Donaghadee in Northern Ireland to Port Patrick in Scotland. We are training hard for all that this swim might throw at us.
