calling runners of all levels, family, kids, and friends to kick off the summer
by participating in Calcutta Run 2020,
a 5Km or 10Km Fun Run/Walk on Saturday
24 October at Blackhall Place, Dublin.
Calcutta Run was founded in January 1999 with the aim of bringing
the legal profession together to create an annual fundraising event to fight
homelessness in Ireland and in Calcutta. Since then, a staggering €4.3 million has been raised,
helping countless young people experiencing homelessness both at home and
abroad through the Peter McVerry Trust and The Hope Foundation.
Spurred by the success of the inaugural run in 1999, the
event has grown from strength to strength. Over 1,500 people took part in 2019,
raising an incredible €300,000. With extra effort from all the firms and
individuals involved we think we can raise this amount again in 2020!
Bring the whole office, your
family, your friends, and even your dog along to enjoy the scenic
route through the Phoenix Park. Registration will take place from 9:15am
to 10:15am. As a reward for all the hard
work, runners and walkers will receive a goodie bag and can then relax and
enjoy the BBQ, bar, DJ and kids activities at the Finish Line
Festival in the grounds of Blackhall Place.
