Description :
As we enter the winter months during these challenging times, everyone needs something to clear their mind and promote mental well-being. This Christmas, we are calling everyone from across the West to take part in the ‘Sprint for Simon’ challenge and come together as a community to help those who are at risk of homelessness.
Take the challenge and run 1k a day for 12 days of Christmas!
From December 25th, take the challenge and run 1k a day, in a place of your choice whether it is the Salthill prom, down the long walk, on your local pitch, or even in your garden, we are asking you to get active for 12 days, whilst supporting those facing homelessness in our community.
The difference you could make
By running just 1km a day for 12 days of Christmas, you could make a huge impact on the lives of those who are facing homelessness during these difficult times. Now more than ever, Galway Simon’s services are needed by those who are facing homelessness. Whilst we face the uncertainty of the Covid-19 pandemic, many people across the West are at risk of becoming homeless.
How to take part
Take Part in the 12-day challenge from December 25th to January 5th. Sprint, run, or walk 1k a day in a safe place of your choice. You could take the challenge with a loved one from afar, challenge your friends to take part with you, or take it on as a personal goal to get you ready to start the New Year on a productive and positive note!
