SFG (Enet) / Hope Foundation Partnership
In 2020, the Speed Fibre Group (then known as the Enet Group), announced a two-year partnership with The Hope Foundation, a Cork-based charity that works to improve the quality of life for street and slum children in India.
All monies raised by the Group will support the running of a boy's home in Kolkata. The funding will be directly targeted to the Punorjibon (New Beginnings) Rehabilitation Home, which caters for solvent-addicted children, many of whom have been victims of daily torture, domestic violence, or been abandoned. In response, the home provides education, healthcare and nutrition services to the boys in its care, as well as vocational training with the ultimate aim of rehabilitating and then reintegrating the boys into mainstream society.
About This Initiative To Kolkata & Back
With a series of successful events behind us last year, 2021 sees us combining fundraising efforts with staff engagement and wellness activities. Our colleagues are now tasked with covering 20,000Km virtually the distance to and from Kolkata.
We have commit to running / walking / cycling / swimming the virtual distance and raise funds in a year-long campaign.
Our collective progress towards Kolkata will be shown via a map on our Idonate Campaign page
It goes without saying the needs of the Hope Foundation are greater than ever. Indeed, in Kolkata, as well as the normal challenges, they are now faced with Covid 19 and the aftermath of severe weather events.
We need to do something. The kids at the Punorjibon home need us now more than ever, let's not let them down!
idonate was established in 2011 to assist charities & non profits in fundraising. Our aim is to provide tools for both charities and fundraisers to help raise much needed funds.
