The Wild Atlantic Way is one of the most spectacular coastal routes in the world, stretching 2,500km along the West coast of Ireland. It begins in Donegal, and goes through Leitrim, Sligo, Mayo, Galway, Clare, Limerick, Kerry, coming to an end in Kinsale, Co. Cork.
It’s a popular route for fitness enthusiasts to conquer and this summer you have the opportunity to have a go, by taking on our virtual challenge. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to walk, run, swim or cycle to cover a stage of the Wild Atlantic Way (500km/miles or 1000km/miles) or if you are feeling brave, the entire 2,500km stretch! The scenery along the way may be different, but the challenge remains the same!
Each time you log activity, your personal fundraising page will update your distance on the route map, allowing you to track your progress and share this with your supporters.
By completing your own personal WAW journey, you can boost your health and fitness and enjoy the satisfaction that comes with achieving a big goal in aid of a great cause. You can also make it a social event, by inviting others to create a team. Collectively you can conquer the distance, while also making a difference.
Sound like a challenge for you? Then sign up and get moving!
