The Beara Way is one of the most popular long distance trails in the Southwest.
The 152km loop begins and ends in Glengarriff, County Cork, circumnavigating the entire Beara Penninsula. With its country roads, rugged mountain tracks and coastal climbs, the trail takes an average of 9 days to complete on foot, so it’s the perfect challenge for those who want enhance their fitness.
This summer, you can take on the challenge by completing the virtual Beara Way Loop, covering all 152km in the locations of your choice. For those who want an extra challenge, you can add on the additional walks to Bere and Dursey Island, which bring the route to over 200km.
