This August, help to support families living with Cancer by cycling Coast2Coast from Sligo to Bray from the 6-8th August 2021
We want you to join us as we cycle from Coast2Coast of Ireland to raise funds and awareness of our Cancer Support Services and ensure that no family living with Cancer is alone.
Day 1 : Friday 6th August 2021: Transfer to Sligo
Leaving Bray, the bikes and cyclists will be transported to Sligo, about 3 hours 20 mins with a quick stop along the way. We will then all meet in the hotel for a brief about the following day’s cycle and enjoy our dinner together.
DAY 2: Saturday 7th August 2021: Sligo to Mullingar (130km, 600m climbing)
Setting off from the Atlantic ocean we soon arrive on the beautiful shores of Lough Gill just outside Sligo town. From here we continue through woodlands on small scenic roads crossing through Leitrim village and continuing on to the small town of Roosky in County Roscommon on the shores of the Shannon.
Our journey takes us through Longford as we make our way past boglands and loughs with scenic views before our night’s rest in Mullingar.
There will be a group dinner and a quick brief of the following day’s cycle.
DAY 3: Sunday 8th August 2021: Mullingar to Bray/Purple House (110km, 300m climbing)
Starting off from Mullingar, we set out for Bray, heading across pristine farmlands on quiet country roads until we get to the town of Maynooth.
We will pass through Maynooth, a vibrant university town at the very edge of the pale. From here we will make our way through county Dublin on lesser-known roads until we come to the garden county and back into Bray.
There will then be a small celebration at Purple House before we have dinner. (Showers will be available).
