We have exciting news!! Portlaoise Musical Society are returning to the stage this November with the Irish premiere of Sunshine on Leith! One of Scotland’s most popular and successful musicals, Sunshine on Leith is a funny, yet uplifting story of family, friendship and love, featuring songs by the Proclaimers, hence our fundraising challenge ‘500 miles’.
In order for our award-winning society to bring Sunshine to Laois (metaphorically speaking) and beyond, we need to raise vital funds to get our show to the Dunamaise Arts Centre!
Our Teams will be walking/running a combined distance of five hundred miles in the month of June (and some may walk 500 more!).
We will be making a donation from the proceeds of our fundraiser to our fantastic charity partner, Kolbe Special School, which caters for children with severe to profound learning disabilities or autism.
