Jody O’Donoghue (PTA PU Manager) & Des Broaders (SDC) will take part in the Frances Thornton Memorial Galway Bay Swim taking place on Saturday 16th July 2022. Jody & Des will be raising funds in aid of Cancer Care West and the Boston Scientific 5 Charity Partners.
This is no ordinary swim. Jody & Des will start from Aughinish, Co.Clare and finish at Blackrock Diving Tower in Salthill, Co.Galway. The swim is approximately 13km long. 13km is equivalent to 5.7 laps of the Galway Race Course. Imagine running 1 lap of the Race Course... Imagine running 5.7 laps... Now imagine swimming that distance!
