Cork City Marathon 2023

Cork City Marathon 2023

Join our Cork City Marathon Crew and help us bring hope to those in medical emergency. Make your miles matter this year and help us to save and change more lives in Ireland.

Our organisation works in partnership with the National Ambulance Service and is tasked to treat serious and life-threatening emergencies. Our ambition for 2023 is to expand our team of Volunteer Emergency Medical Responders and to supply them with vital equipment and new specialist response vehicles.

Our Volunteer Emergency Medical Responders are highly qualified and the majority work as Consultants and Specialist Registrars in Emergency Departments across the country. They are willing to leave their families to respond to serious incidents and major emergencies in their local areas whenever they can, often late at night, early in the morning and at weekends. Their unique skill sets, and expertise allows them to carry out life saving measures at the side of the road, in homes and workplaces. We want to expand our ground services to new locations across the country; this marathon fundraiser will help us do this.

The Cork City Marathon is an official 42.195km (26 miles and 385 yards) marathon course and serves as a Boston qualifier.

It is overall, a fast and flat course, a route that takes the runners north, east, south and west of the city centre.

The marathon and team relay begin and finish on the city centre’s main street, St Patrick’s Street.
