Fota Survival Challenge - In Aid of the Mercy Cancer Appeal
9 "New Recruits" will arrive at Fota Island Adventure on Friday 4th of November for a 48 hour Fota Island Challenge in aid of the Mercy Hospital Foundation. Their expedition will begin with a training session, followed by a 48 hour stint that will see recruits complete a number of challenges including kayaking, hiking, mind games, individual and team games such as archery; as well as sleeping out under the stars! Recruits will be provided with basic food rations to sustain them until 12pm on Sunday 6th of November when their challenge is complete.
Best of luck to all the recruits - Hazel Burns, Jamie Harrington, Kelly MacCarthy, Alison Ireland, Sarah Quinlan, Cathal Rasmussen, John Paul Curtain, Dwanye Breen & Anthony O’Beirnes.
Special thanks to Cobh man Ger Burns, a long standing supporter of the Mercy Hospital Foundation, and Gers' wife Hazel Burns who is the brains behind this fundraiser, as well as Ken and Terry from Fota Adventure.
