An average man lives for about 70 years. In Syria, this life is cut decades short by bombs, chemical weapons, and war. The people lack basic access to medication, education, and freedom.
I dream of changing that!
An ordinary muslim, set out to use my passion of cycling as a means to raise awareness on the plight of the Syrians and raise funds to provide basic necessities for the syrian people. Support me on my journey as I attempt to cycle a full stretch of 100km this Saturday with a team of good-hearted cyclists.
From Marlay Park, Glencree, Sally Gap and Ashford, then back again to Marlay Park on a bicycle, this whooping 100km stretch hopes to inspire others to do what little they can for our Syrian brothers and sisters.
Filling The Gap Project :
More than 640,000 people have fled the conflict in Syria to neighbouring Jordan. As many as 120,000 are living in refugee camps. Many families are facing pressing problems of food insecurity. We will be working in Jordan to help some of those most in need. Our programme of food parcels will provide for thousands of families, helping relieve the daily pressures they experience in the search for food.
