A massive thank you for your support on our EPIC Mizen to Malin ride, we made our way through 655kms of rain soaked Irish roads in 4 days and raised a whopping €14,555 so far and still climbing (just thankfully not on the bike anymore!)

A massive thank you for your support on our EPIC Mizen to Malin ride, we made our way through 655kms of rain soaked Irish roads in 4 days and raised a whopping €14,555 so far and still climbing (just thankfully not on the bike anymore!)
John Glynn arrived in Malin Head for the finish and told us that the money raised is going to be used to send a 2 year old for special treatment in Germany. The whole experience was very moving but left us with a genuine sense of accomplishment.
On 21st October 2014, four year old Gavin Glynn lost his three year fight with an extremely aggressive form of Cancer known as Rhabdomyosarcoma. Gavin was a big fan of Superhero’s especially Superman. But he was our Superhero. His dad John worked in Rabobank in Ireland during this time and a number of fundraisers were held to support Gavin's treatment to assist in his fight. Unfortunately most of the treatment had be sought outside of Ireland and was very expensive.
After Gavin's passing his family setup the Gavin Glynn Foundation to support other families in a similar situation who need to travel overseas for cancer treatment. The foundation provides money to take the financial burden away from families so they can fully focus on the needs of their child.
To raise money for the Foundation a group of us from RaboDirect undertook this four day cycle on September 6th 2016 from the most southerly point in Ireland to the most Northerly point in Ireland commonly known as the Mizen to Malin cycle.
Our team was made up of Claire Goss, Daniel Morris, Gail Banim, Killian Nolan, Mark Flynn, Noel Lawlor and Tim Bicknell.
