Everyday we hear another horrific story about Aleppo and feel so helpless. We have decided to support Team Hope Ireland to do what we can to help.
At the moment in Aleppo, it is very difficult to get humanitarian aid into the city, and priority must be given to emergency medical, water and food supplies.
Team Hope are very involved with Aleppo. As they are a children’s charity, they work directly with children in Aleppo, who are the innocent victims of the war.
Their partners in the city are a local charity, headed up by a Syrian surgeon who works in an Aleppo Hospital. The hospital is still standing, but has no water or electricity. So with funds released by organisations such as Team Hope, he has opened a clinic in a local church, staffed by 19 volunteer doctors, who are meeting medical needs for the residents of Aleppo. They have also drilled to find water in the city and are currently running 20 public water points to supply drinking water. They work with war widows and orphans – and are running a feeding programme for over 4,000 families affected by the war.
Lets all donate what we can.... have a fundraiser.....have a party.....scale a mountain.....Something no matter how small will help....
We are also collecting for the Christmas Shoebox appeal so will accept any donations you might want to give.
Thanks
