Galway Hospice Foundation is a voluntary organisation. It was established in 1986 when a group of local doctors and nurses came together with a view to developing hospice services for the people of Galway city and county, as no such services existed there at the time.
Hand in Hand is a national children's cancer charity, providing practical and emotional support to families facing childhood cancer throughout Ireland. The charity offers support through services such as household cleaning, laundry, family meal delivery, counselling and play therapy, all of which are provided free of charge.
