As you are probably aware each June I drag myself up the hills of Europe to raise funds for the IHF and their wonderful Nurses for Nightcare program. This year is no exception and despite being woefully underprepared I'm off to torture myself again. Please support this worthy cause by donating whatever you can. All funds raised go directly to the Nurses for Nightcare program.

The Irish Hospice Foundation funds the 'nurses for night care service' for people who are terminally ill. This service provides nursing care, practical support and reassurance for the person and for their families in the last days of their life. This service is provided via the Irish Cancer Society night nursing service. 

• Service is provided free of charge by the Irish Hospice Foundation and was established in 2006
• It is funded largely by donations from the Irish Public and is subsidised by the HSE since 2016
• Demand for night nursing grows every year
• In 2017, over 2,000 nights of nursing care was delivered to over 600 people across Ireland, and this cost €646,537
