The majority of us get to take our babies home from hospital within a couple of days of their birth.
The majority of our children only suffer the usual childhood illnesses and recover so quickly, you sometimes wonder why all the fuss.
For the majority of parents, we wake each day, possibly after a bad night of teething, bad dreams or “I just don’t wanna sleep-itits”, we complain, we fill ourselves full of caffeine and pray for bedtime.
But for some this isn’t the case. For some they never got to take their babies home from hospital and each day they live with the heartbreak of losing a child to Stillbirth.
For others, the don’t know if bedtime will be in their house or a Children’s Hospital as their child struggles with Cystic Fibrosis.
For these parents, the support and knowledge that comes from Feileacain & Cystic Fibrosis Ireland is invaluable.
So this year, starting on April 9th, I’ll be attempting various runs around Dublin, all ending on October 29th when I’ll face MY biggest challenge & run 40K in the Dublin City Marathon.
So please, donate what you can. Feel free to share among friends, colleagues etc. For those technically challenged, I’ve sponsor cards from both organisations and you can sponsor me the old fashioned way!
Below is further informaton about Feileacain & Cystic Fibrosis so you can learn about the amazing work they do daily.
