I am very lucky to have been given the opportunity to take part in Irelands first independent Operation Walk Ireland mission. I will be travelling to Vietnam, a second world country, to assist local nurses in the education and training of hip and knee replacements. The aim is to aid in 60 joint replacements, where Irish surgeons, anesthetists, doctors, nurses and physios will educated and train local doctors and nurses.
