When you're faced with serious illness, somehow you get the courage to be brave. If you're lucky as I was, you come out the other side. I can't imagine what it must be like for a young kid to have to be brave and deal with cancer, at 40 I found it hard enough but friends and family, sometimes people you don't even know rally around, bringing you food, doing odd jobs, just sitting having a chat when you don't want to be alone. But more is needed. Always much more. That's where the generous spirit which we have in abundance here in Ireland kicks in and why people do crazy things like a 'Dip in the Nip', so money can go to help where it is needed most. To my friends, family and people who I've yet to meet, please give, whatever you can. Money may not cure, but it will ease the stress and make more vital support available to those who need it the most. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
