As many of my close family and friends will already know, both myself and Shaun just experienced our second miscarriage.  

Having only experience our first miscarriage in September, we could have never imagined we would have to relive the horrible experience all over again.

I have always been very open about both my miscarriages, I believe it's something that has definitely helped me get through the worst part of the grieving process.

A year ago, neither Shaun or myself could have imagined we would have two babies but for neither of them to be here for us to hold.

As part of trying to move forward I have signed myself up for the Women's Mini Marathon this June! It's something positive for me to put my energy into and I'm so looking forward to it.  

I have of course chosen to take part on behalf of the Miscarriage Association of Ireland.  A charity which is so close to both of our hearts.

The Miscarriage Association of Ireland is a registered charity run by a committee of volunteers to provide support and information to women and their families who have lost a baby through miscarriage. The Association is 28 years old and the need for support and information is still as much required to-day as it was at the start. Miscarriage occurs as frequently as 50 times a day in Ireland affecting approximately 18,000 women and their families annually.

Money raised will go towards the support group meetings, the telephone support lines, literature, events held and many more.  

No donation is too small and would be greatly appreciated.

I would also like to encourage anyone who has been affected by miscarriage or child loss to join me on June the 5th and take part in the marathon!
