For those of you that know me, you know only too well that I only ever dance in public while under the influence on a night out!! So partaking in Strictly Act is really taking me out of my comfort zone... so why do it?? The reason is simple…. I'm a mother, I know there is no love greater than that of a mother & their child but sometimes life can be very cruel and set you on a path that you never planned on taking! When little Aoibhe Carroll passed away, it shook our community, it left a very big void in Noel & Siobhan's family & their life. I've known Siobhan & Noel for few years now and their strength and compassion in the face of such a tragedy inspires me every day to appreciate all I have! ACT for Meningitis provides support, information & awareness to families who have been touched by this potentially deadly disease! Having a child sick with either viral or bacterial meningitis can be the scariest & loneliest journey a family can endure.
