All funds raised will be received by the Peter Mc Verry Trust and the Hope Foundation to support homeless youths in Dublin and Calcutta. Some stats detailing how funds raised are put to use are set out below.
Dublin’s homeless youths through Peter McVerry Trust will benefit from achieving these fundraising targets:
€100will provide a self-starter kit for someone entering one of the Trust’s residential services.
€125will provide a self-starter kit, as well as providing toiletries and basic clothing for someone coming off the street into one of the Trust’s services.
€150will provide a self-starter kit, as well as safe and warm overnight accommodation for one person or lunches for 50 people in the drop-in centre.
Calcutta’s homeless youths through the Hope Foundation will benefit from achieving these fundraising targets:
€100will provide an auto chlorination system bringing safe drinking water to families preventing the spread of disease.
€125will provide an auto chlorination system and basic numeric skills training for adults.
€150will provide an auto chlorination system as well as health and life skill training for teenage boys and girls or one year of educational essentials for 5 children.

All proceeds raised go directly to supporting those experiencing homelessness in Ireland and Kolkata through Dublin Simon Community and The Hope Foundation.

Celebrating 25 Years of HOPE
Set up in 1999 to raise funds for one girl’s home. Today The Hope Foundation (HOPE) funds 58 projects in the areas of education, healthcare, child protection, vocational training and emergency response.
HOPE works primarily with the street & slum children of Kolkata (Calcutta) and the subsequent difficulties that these children encounter. The estimated population of street children in Kolkata is over 250,000. To date HOPE has helped over 2.
