On June 24th 2017, we will leave Cork destined for northern Spain, to Walk the Camino de Santiago with the aim of raising funds for Cork University Maternity Hospital (CUMH) and the Quiet Room Appeal. We will complete the last 113km of the French Route, from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela over the course of five days! All proceeds raised by the walk will go towards enhancing patient care at CUMH and in particular refurbishing the Quiet Room, a special space where parents who lose their baby can spend the last moments with their baby. With your help, CUMH, working with CUH Charity will upgrade and refurbish the Quiet Room to create a more comfortable, intimate and private haven, acting as a sanctuary for these parents in the midst of their grief. We wish to refurbish this room so that it has a warm, non-clinical feel which respects parents needs at this difficult time and provides a sense of relief and comfort to them and their extended family. We need your help, so please give generously to support this appeal. All donations, no matter how big or small will help make a valuable and lasting contribution to the care for our families in CUMH.
