The Galway Parkinson's Association supported both Dad and Mum, as his carer, throughout his illness.  They provided vital services to Dad that were not available to him from the HSE.  It does not get any Government funding dispite providing Parkinson's patients in Galway and the surrounding area with group physiotherapy and speech therapy classes.  They also provide day trips and outings for patients supported by volunteers.  They gave advice to Mum when she had nowhere else to turn and without them it would have been difficult to have manage Dad's illness.  Since Dad's passing they have supported Mum and have again shown a kindness has given her solice.  It is an amazing charity that deserves as much support as possible.
