Hi all
Over the next 6 weeks, I am participating in two charity cycles.
Next Saturday (14/9), I am cycling 145km Cycle to Wexford in aid of Peter McVerry Trust. As many of you know, the Peter McVerry Trust is a charity set up by Fr Peter McVerry to reduce homelessness and the harm caused by drug misuse and social disadvantage. This is the 30th anniversary of this great cycle, and I am proud to say The Doyle Collection continue to be sponsors of this long running event, and I will be proudly wearing the jersey with our logo.
Later in October, I again plan on cycling the 90km “Bike to Bofin”. This is in aid of Voices for Voices For Down Syndrome Galway www.downsyndromegalway.ie. My cousin Mike and his wife Ailbhe have been running this cycle since 2013, and have raised over €150k since that time. The charity provides essential speech and language therapy to children and adults with Down Syndrome, including Mike’s own son, Eoghan.
I appreciate that there are lots of competing charities and other demands at the moment. However any donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated. Funds raised will be split equally between both charities. Many thanks for taking the time to read this email. If you wish to donate, please contact me directly or else use the link below. I will cover any additional fees, to ensure the charities get the full funds.
Many thanks
Kieran
