Our Dads were amazing men, the most amazing Dads and we are both so very lucky to have been able to call them 'our' Dads. We miss them everyday. We're also walking together celebrating our friendship of over 38 years - time for a good catch up!!

Brian Clancy passed away 21 years ago, aged only 58 but his loss is still felt by us every day. A wonderful husband and father, this kind and wise man also had a wicked sense of humour! I reckon dad would be rather amused at the thought of Michelle & I attempting this trek (being the athlete I am….not) and would undoubtedly have something very un-p.c. to say about it! The hospice looked after him and us so well in his final days and so this fundraiser is long overdue! Thank you!
Michael Deeny pased away 3 years ago aged 79. He was a generous and learned humble man full of kindness, empathy and integrity. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin. He led a full, happy and rewarding life touching many people along the way and sharing his wisdom and honorable values with all he met. Having spent many months, during a 10 year period in Galicia, he would be SO happy that Joanna and I are even attempting this walk together in aid of such a worthy charity. He is missed everyday but lives on in many of us.
