Ann - a huge character in Cork and a phenomenal lady to give support and care to all those on the journey with cancer, needs our help.
In 2011, Ann founded the Cork Cancer Care Centre (formerly the Girls Club) as she fought a battle with cancer herself. The Centre is a haven for those with cancer, their families and friends and is also a place for healing, conversation, fun and the occasional sing song. It has supported many Munster cancer patients and their families over the years with Ann at the helm always with a smile, a joke and huge encouragement to those who are facing into an unknown battle. Ann's fight with cancer gave her the ability to relate to people and help them face their struggle.
We're sad to say, Ann's battle has re-emerged and she is giving everything to keep going and beat the disease. An item on her wish list is to visit Lourdes and we would love your support to get her there. Given her current illness, we know it might be some time before she can travel, so over the next 4 months we want to raise about €5000 to bring her and her family to Lourdes. Ann has been a support to so many, it's time for us to give back.
Thanks for your help and ever tiny donation counts - so please dig deep. #standinguptocancer
