My son needed to travel to Germany recently to receive proton therapy to treat his brain tumour which, despite several operations and multiple courses of chemotherapy over the last few years, has refused to stop growing! I'm delighted to say he has completed his treatment and amazingly is now back in Ireland catching up on life, school, friends.
We're very lucky.
We're also hugely grateful to John Glynn and the Gavin Glynn Foundation for the unconditional support they provided at a time when we really needed help. John and the team arranged flights, accomodation, transfers with military precision!! John also proivided some really practical advice and was always available if we were unsure of anything. It felt like we had someone guiding us along which allowed us focus exclusively on making sure Harry got the help he needed.
